Marvel | Account Creation & Management
Designed the end-to-end UX for Marvel’s account creation and management experience, covering personal information, password management, notification settings, and Marvel Unlimited membership controls.
Role
Senior UX Designer | Focus: Interaction design, information architecture, account systems, subscription management, usability testing
Problem
Existing account flows were fragmented, inconsistent across web and mobile, and lacked clear pathways for managing personal details, security, notifications, and Marvel Unlimited subscriptions. Members faced friction during sign-up, struggled to update preferences or memberships, and had limited visibility into their account status—leading to higher support volume and incomplete profiles.

Approach
I audited current account journeys, mapped user needs across new and existing members, and defined a unified information architecture. Through wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and iterative design, I created streamlined account creation, clear personal information editing, secure password management, granular notification controls, and intuitive Marvel Unlimited membership management (status, billing, plan changes, and cancellation). Designs prioritized clarity, trust, accessibility, and consistency with Marvel’s brand while reducing cognitive load. Solutions were refined through stakeholder reviews and usability testing.
Outcome
The redesigned account experience delivered a cohesive, user-friendly system that simplified onboarding and ongoing management. It improved clarity around personal data, security, notifications, and Marvel Unlimited memberships—supporting higher completion rates, better self-service, and a more polished member experience aligned with Marvel’s digital ecosystem.
